AICTE Career Portal: The AICTE, in collaboration with Apna.co, a professional networking platform, has unveiled the ‘AICTE Career Portal‘ tailored for engineering students. This innovative platform is set to transform the job and internship hunting experience for more than 3 million students from 12,000 colleges. The launch, hosted at the AICTE headquarters in New Delhi, was graced by prominent personalities including AICTE Chairman Prof. TG Sitharam, Vice Chairman Dr. Abhay Jere, Member Secretary Professor Rajive Kumar, and Nimrit Parikh, the CEO of apna.co.

This partnership emerged from a February 2024 agreement, demonstrating a shared dedication to improving employment opportunities through technological advancement and collaboration. Noteworthy is the platform’s distinct initiative, providing students with the opportunity to travel to Silicon Valley, USA, at no cost, enabling them to engage with top industry professionals from leading companies such as Google, Apple, and Microsoft.
Apna.co is a key player in this project, connecting recent graduates with job opportunities through its vast network of 500,000 recruiters and 1,000 companies. In addition to job listings, the platform offers tools for creating impressive resumes, receiving real-time job alerts, and promoting professional growth through specialized groups. Future enhancements will include interview preparation support and advice on fair salary negotiations.
AICTE Career New Portal
Professor TG Sitharam emphasized the importance of this collaboration, highlighting how it combines government and startup efforts to enhance students’ skills and open up diverse job opportunities. Nirmit Parikh, CEO of apna.co, highlighted the platform’s role in empowering Indian youth globally.
Furthermore, the platform provides colleges with tools for informed decision-making, strategic planning, improved communication through a networking community, and comprehensive job placement statistics to attract potential employers.
